Personal injury lawyer, Eric Terkewitz shared his opinion in the Wall Street Journal's blog that they will. Google recently announced that a fully functional self driving car will hit the markets in the next five years. This announcement prompted Mr. Terkewitz to share this: The issue of lawsuits regarding the cars will, I think, be vastly overwhelmed by a huge reduction in collisions that result from the most common forms of human error. Each year about 30,000 people will die in the U.S. from car crashes, and about two million are injured, and that is after considering a significant drop in fatalities from safer cars and seat belts over the prior decades…. This is fantastic news to hear, in that this new technology will save lives, heartache, and a whole lot of time and money. Just another way technology is making our lives better.
